Working visit in Germany from 25-28 November 2007

Visit background:
This visit was made by the initiative of Municipalities of Probistip, Radovis and CRPRC Studiorum. With collaboration of the InWent – Capacity Building International, Germany we made the joint program for the visit. The activities in the program were covered and organized by InWent, and the transportation was financed by the participants.
Places visited:
Victoria Oil is the first Bio-Diesel factory in Serbia located in Šid. This factory has daily processing capacity of 350 tons of sunflower and rapeseed, has special place in development plans of Victoria Group. It is estimated that investments in refining vegetable oil in the fuel of future – biodiesel capacity of 100,000 tons per year, will increase added value of the whole chain. Factories in Becej and Šid are places where production and market strategy of whole system are met.
Potentials of Backa Palanka harbor, which is spread across 110 ha, and Silo in Backa Palanka, which has storage capacity 24,000 t are also in the function of common business goal. “SP Laboratory” in Becej takes special place in the Group. This is the best-equipped laboratory in the country, on approximately 3000 m2, with the latest devices, specialized for quality control and health product safety.
Victoria Group exports in 28 countries, fulfills EU standards – Identity Non GMO Soybean and Kosher certificate and has reputation one of few producers of Non GMO soybeans.
Machinery ring Sulz- Altmühl e.V in Mühlhausen, Germany. This machinery ring exists since 1994 and it has 1,100 active members. One of the main activities of this machinery ring is production of the rape seed oil. The members invest in equipment for storage and extracting the oil, and also engine for production of electrical energy.
The raps oil is later used by the members of the ring for the fuel of their cars and also Machinery Ring sell the oil on gas station. From the oil they have heating in the offices and also they sell energy to the electrical company.
With Joseph Schneider the president of the MR we had a meeting and we present to him our organization the Union of Machinery Rings in Macedonia and also Federation of Farmers in R. Macedonia. We had a positive reaction in the way of organizing and working of Macedonian Machinery Ring
DBE German bio energy AG, Regensburg, Germany. The manager of the plant Mr. Zieger explains more about the history and the future plans of the plant. This biodiesel factory is operating from the beginning of 2007 with capacity of 60,000 tons per year.
Main working activities are:
Transesterification of vegetable oil to produce biodiesel, and
Distribution of the products, they have own tank station, production and other utilization of biomass. Trade (Purchase / Sale) with renewable raw materials.
With a network of factories in Germany, until the end of 2008 the production capacity will be 200,000 tons per year. Our factory locations in Germany are easily accessible at selected road junctions placed to support our regional customers and partners, such as petroleum shareholders, farmers and urban transport companies.
Biomass heating station Parsberg, biomass heating station Parsberg GmbH. Here Mr. Anton Plank the manager gave us explanation of the heating process and also how this project was financed. They had support from the C.A.R.M.E.N., the Central agrarian raw material marketing and development network-Germany. The capacity of the heating station was with total output: 3,300 KW\h, biomass achievement 1,000 KW\h. They were providing heating in 2 hospitals and one small village with 55 houses. This was good idea to be implemented in our villages, with the support from the ministry or other donors.
